Bat Description
Review: 1-Piece bat designed for contact hitters and really benefits hitters with average or lower bat speeds. Starting at a lower compression was nice to see from Short Porch and really benefits the many players out there who don’t have time to heavily BP their bats.
Design: 12” Barrel, ZOC Composite Technology, and a medium stiff handle. This bat comes in balanced and weights 25.5oz & 26.5oz.
Sweet Spot: Ranked Above Average for both 52s and Pro Ms. Ball felt good off the barrel regardless of sanction and gave good velo numbers for both. We saw a slight downtick in 52s velo speed from other Short Porch models but that makes sense with the lower compression.
Forgiveness: For the compression point and sweet spot feel we were hoping for more forgiveness from this one, but we saw significant drops offs in velo from the sweet spot. This led to our average rating for this area.
Feedback: While the lower compression was a nice change of pace for a game ready feel from Short Porch this also led to a softer feel on their barrels which gave us inconsistent feedback when contact was made outside the sweet spot. This led to the low end of our above average ranking in this area.
